Delhi air pollution is here along with the festive season. And so is the winter action plan to combat air pollution. The capital city of the country has been experiencing pollution<\/strong><\/a><\/span> for a long time now. With a spike in air pollution every passing day, it has become next to impossible to breathe clean air. The city was previously declared as a gas chamber by Delhi\u2019s Chief Minister and AAP President, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, amidst the rise in pollution level and outcry<\/strong><\/a><\/span> of the people, to its mercy, the Delhi Government has come up with an action plan to combat air pollution. City air pollution is primarily due to the crop burning in the neighboring state \u2013 Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan which collides with the festive season during which people burst firecrackers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Would an action plan to combat air pollution really help?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

An action plan to combat air pollution was recently announced via a tweet by chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. He said that the pollution level in Delhi<\/strong><\/a><\/span> has reduced by 25% in the last 4 years. The concentration level of particle matter 2.5 \u2013 which is one of the deadliest pollutants among many others can cause serious health issues. To name a few \u2013 lung cancer, kidney damages, brain tumor, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n
