The new video by BBC features teenage activist Greta Thunberg urging politicians to listen to the scientists. She makes it very clear that understanding climate change is as important as fighting it. She directly says that Climate Change is an emergency; existential crises that need instant attention. She makes it very clear that each one of us needs to do everything we can to stop it.
Greta who suffers from Aspergers Syndrome has started a global climate change protest that has really fired up with people from all communities coming out to support her cause. The video also includes snippets of Greta talking at one of her protests where she calls for worldwide panic. She wants people to step out of their comfort zone to really fight the bigger fight that is Climate Change and it’s effects on the world.
She also goes ahead and gives an analogy of a burning house that might just keep the people passing by in their cars supporting her for a celebrity to really take a look inside themselves. Her 2018 school campaign has spread all over with even children from India going out to protest the need for fighting climate change with the Existence Rebellion.
Most importantly she has asked the entire world to take the scientists who talk about Climate change seriously. She says that these people have studied all the problems that the world is facing and know what is good for everyone. She especially seemed pissed at the corporations who need to change first as they have been really ramping up the emission of harmful byproducts.
Greta Thunberg urging politicians is one aspect, the biggest thing is, her message says that we can’t just sustain a little bit. We need to take that universal message and really aim for change that can come from within.
