For the next few days, temperature readings will frequently touch 40 degrees.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">MoE, GOI has notified that the air quality in and around the national capital region is going to deteriorate in the coming days as the temperature rises and also due to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aqi.in\/blog\/how-the-dust-storm-in-delhi-has-contributed-to-the-ever-worsening-air-pollution\/\">up-coming dust storms<\/a> from western India.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Delhi NCR&#8217;s Upcoming AQI Level<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dry and dusty winds are expected from 16<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0April and hence the air quality index (AQI) is expected to dip to poor to hazardous category.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2956 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aqi.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/new-delhi-aqi-level.png\" alt=\"new delhi aqi level\" width=\"1004\" height=\"442\" \/><em><i>Data Source: AQI India (www.aqi.in)<\/i><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">AQI in Delhi has already begun to rise. An AQI reading of 264 was recorded on 15<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0April, highest after the lockdown was implemented.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">NCR region recorded its hottest day so far on 15<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0April at 39.8 degrees and the AQI level was mostly recorded in Moderate &#8211; Poor category.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">IMD has also forecasted the chances of light rain and gusty wind by 19<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0April. A good shower can further bring down the AQI into good category. With rising <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aqi.in\/blog\/air-pollution-climate-change-can-make-your-allergies-worse\/\">temperatures<\/a>, wildfire season is also approaching. We all saw last year in Australia, how an uncontrolled wildfire can create havoc. All these developments are not good for air quality.
