Traffic, air and water pollution is the major concern in the national capital for the past few years. However, with the ongoing Lok Sabha Election 2019 campaign, one can neither see nor hear about bringing any change in the city.

According to the ADR survey, Delhi voters are pretty clear with what they want first in their city – Better Traffic Management, a respite from Air and water pollution in the city along with more employment opportunities. However, the city’s government has done little to make any difference to bring any positive change in the National Capital. As per the Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR), about 49.67% prioritized Traffic congestion, 44.52 percent of people went with water and air pollution, and 43.07% are hoping for better employment possibilities.

Lok Sabha Election 2019 – Will it bring a positive change in the Capital City?

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that Delhi will be completely free of air and water pollution in the coming three years. Claiming that the government has taken up a project worth of INR 50,000 crores to clean the National Capital – making it toxic free from the rising water and air pollution. This statement has been counted as one of the promises out of many during Lok Sabha Election 2019.

Will the people of Delhi breathe clean air and get more fresh water?

Delhi air pollution has come to a point which has put more holes in the pockets of people than any other health issues. Vehicular pollution is a major concern in the city which makes the air almost unbreathable. Water pollution has also brought ample distress among Delhi residents.
